A SPECIAL INVITATION FROM OUR NEW PASTOR
Pastor Kent noticed a bunch of digital photographers at CTK and for all of you photo-fanatics, get your cameras out and start taking pictures! In July capture your best photo for the Scripture verse… “Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being.” Job 12:9-10. Submit your name with your digital file to Korina in the office by the end of July and see what happens!
THANK YOU & FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR PASTOR MANRODT
On Sunday, July 26 there will only be one service at 10 am. The service will be followed by a reception in Ludder Fellowship Hall at 11 am for us to say Thank you and Farewell to Pastor Manrodt. Because of his penchant for wearing tropical “Hawaiian” shirts, we are asking everyone to show up July 26 wearing your favorite Hawaiian or tropical shirt or blouse in honor of Pastor Manrodt. It will be another fun day in the life of CTK.
JOIN THE CTK CHOIR
Consider joining the CTK choir: we need your voice! Rehearsal is 8:00 pm every Thursday evening in Dettman Hall.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL - CROSSWALK
The summer CrossWalk program will be a 12-part series titled, "The History of the Bible: The Making of the New Testament Canon." The series of lectures are done by Professor Bart D. Ehrman of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This lecture series will talk about the books of the New Testament, how the books were written, by whom they were written, for what purpose, how the books were copied and transmitted through the ages as well as when and why they came to be collected together into a canon of Scripture. Professor Ehrman also talks about the gospels that did not become part of the New Testament canon.
